World Gastronomy Network Inc.
Delaware, USA
The World Gastronomy Network Inc., based in Lewes, Delaware, is a U.S. nonprofit organization led by Gabor Andras Varga, a pioneer in sustainable food systems and community building. Founded with a mission to connect gastronomic heritage with cutting-edge technology, WGN Inc. aims to reduce the food sector’s ecological footprint, support local producers through networked short food supply chains, and strengthen global communities.
Its flagship initiative, the WOGI mobile app, launches on March 1, 2026, serving as a community platform where users can upload recipes, receive AI-personalized recommendations based on dietary needs and seasonal ingredients, and join online cooking courses. The app also features the WOGI Farm-to-Table program, linking local producers directly with consumers and restaurants, and a WOGI-token system rewarding sustainable practices redeemable in the WOGI-Shop.
Another key project, the WOGI EuroTaste Ride, begins on March 1, 2026, with an 18,000 km cycling tour across 28 European countries, led by Gabor and Marcell Varga. Featuring daily stops to prepare national dishes with local ingredients, the tour collaborates with chefs, producers, and municipalities, accompanied by 38 gastronomic Roadshows in major cities. Engaging over 100,000 followers via livestreams, Instagram, and a documentary, the initiative promotes sustainable gastronomy and tourism, earning recognition from the European Commission on September 19, 2025, for its alignment with EU food promotion priorities. WGN Inc. targets 100,000 European users by 2026 and 1 million globally by 2029, aiming for a 20% reduction in food transport emissions, in line with the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy and Farm-to-Fork Strategy.
